(This case was updated in October 2025, following customer approvement)

When the major manufacturer of workwear, Kentaur, needed to revamp their digital presence and ecommerce, they decided to utilise Enterspeed Core for data orchestration. Through Enterspeed, they successfully constructed a headless architecture and integrated multiple data sources into a seamless, efficient customer experience.

Abstraction layer for open- and closed-source integrations

Kentaur employed Enterspeed as the core integration layer to build their new website on Umbraco 13, transforming it into a headless CMS. Through Enterspeed, they decoupled every data source and destination and now they all integrate primarily to Enterspeed, where the data is transformed, merged, and sent to other systems.

Basically, Kentaur has utilised Enterspeed the way we’re intended: For Decoupling, content federation, and orchestration. And even though some of their data sources aren’t (yet) part of our open-source integrations, they could easily develop their own integrations to Enterspeed using our APIs and SDKs.

Catarina Slangerup, Head of Marketing, Kentaur:

– With Enterspeed, we have a much more flexible setup, where we can easily integrate new platforms and reduce the amount of custom code we need to maintain. It’s not just about efficiency – it’s about being ready for future growth and delivering a smoother digital experience for our customers.

The data sources include:

  • ERP and PIM: Pricing and product data run through custom integrations that Kentaur’s agency easily built themselves. Specifically, data from their Aspect4 ERP and their Perfion PIM are merged into one view and deliver data to the search destination through our open-source integration.
  • CRM: Customer data from Microsoft Dynamics also runs through Enterspeed and can be merged with the other sources, should they need it.
  • CMS: Content data from a single Umbraco CMS comes to Enterspeed through our open-source integration.

The destinations include:

  • Search: Product and content data are sent from Enterspeed to a Relewise engine using our JavaScript schemas.
  • Commerce: PIM data is sent from Enterspeed to a Commercelayer platform using webhooks.
  • Customer experiences: We deliver data to all frontend applications such as website and social media.

If you want to read something focused on CMS, take a look at the blogpost 👉 A POC: Combining data between CMS. Yeah 💪

Through decoupling and data orchestration, the organisation can efficiently manage and orchestrate data delivery to various endpoints, including search indexes and websites – and Enterspeed even enables them to prepare data for product feeds on social media and advertising platforms using webhooks.

Since Enterspeed is used as the central integration layer, the agency was able to reduce the amount of custom code and infrastructure typically required for a web project of this complex.

And since we're on the topic of content and web projects, perhaps you'd want to read about how to reduce debugging time with real-time content and data 🥂
