Demo video: Making Google Sheets into a high-performance PIM
Even large organisations sometimes rely on Excel spreadsheets or Google Sheets. We’ve seen it. Maybe you have too?
So, our CEO Toke Lund – a to-the-bones non-coder – decided to find out how easy it would be to configure an integration between Google Sheets and Enterspeed.
Spoiler alert: It was pretty easy!
In just 2 hours, he (again, very much NOT a developer) managed to transform a flexible Google Sheet into a "light" PIM (Product Information Management), which can send products and what else data you need to Enterspeed.
Then, he used Enterspeed to create a persistent, high-performing API that connects two data sources to a lightning-fast API call.
And honestly, the possibilities are massive. Not only can we assist small and medium-sized businesses in displaying their data more securely and efficiently while still using systems and processes based on Google Sheets. But you can even combine Google Sheets' data functions with ChatGPT, Google Translate, or similar tools to perform the desired calculations and enrichments.
You can then use Enterspeed to expose it through a high-performance API that can be used in both internal and external systems.
Is it the optimal way? Perhaps not. But it's quick, secure, and effective.

Here’s a couple of possible usages:
- GS1 data: Presentation, translation, and ChatGPT refinement for unique digital experiences.
- TrustPilot data: Presentation and sentiment analysis – showcase the most positive reviews.
- Master data enrichment and presentation for various digital channels.
The opportunities seem boundless, and this approach opens the doors to innovation and efficiency across organisations. Excel spreadsheets and Google Sheets no longer need to be bottlenecks; instead, they can become valuable tools for managing and enhancing data, offering organisations a competitive advantage in the modern digital world.
